I arrived at Barcelona after a long flight from Shanghai and took the train to the downtown from the airport conveniently. Under the detailed instruction, which the owner of the house sent me, I got at his house successfully, which I booked on Airbnb.

The house is not big but very nice and the owner called Joan likes traveling around the world, so he gave me a local guidebook on how to travel around Barcelona and told me some helpful suggestions.

I happened to meet a long queue and stopped for a while to watch people were running the marathon. 

An old lady was raising the pigeons and this is the Placa Catalunya, where several popular city walking tours start.

Las Ramblas/布兰拉大道 is one of the most popular tourist areas in Barcelona, where many cafes, restaurants and boutique shops are clustered togather. 

Rome tombs have been hidden in the small lanes only a few steps away from Las Ramblas since over 1000 years ago.

Some people were playing costumes on the street.

Crowded people were excited when they found something old in antique market.

Mercat de la Boqueria/博盖利亚市场 is one of the most famous markets, which situates at the side of Las Ramblas.

The most surprising was local people and tourists could eat and drink in the market.

Monument of Colom/哥伦布纪念塔 stands at the end of Las Ramblas and connects waterfront.

Sagrada Familia/圣家堂 started to build in 1866 and was handed on to Gaudi in 1866, but he died of accident in 1926. Fortunately, the successor continued to construct it according to Gaudi's blueprint and it will have been completed by the end of 2026 in memory of the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death.

Sagrada Familia is an amazing project beyond our expectation. Tourists seemed to be embraced by the forest even though they were inside the church all made of stones.

There were three facades including birth, death and glory, which all discribed catholic stories.

Tourists can visit the museum underground to know the details on how to be built.

Tourists should buy extra tickets to reach one tower's top by the lift if they would like to overlook the downtown of Barcelona.

Casa Mila/米拉之家 is another Gaudi's creative project. He designed the top of the building into the art work collections.

The art of work on the top has been one of the most important hallmarks of Barcelona.

Casa Batllo/巴特约之家 is my favourite Gaudi's project. It seemed like a fantastic journey in the house.

Gaudi made goo use of the glass, natural light and local materials to create the feeling of sea successfully.

Casa Amateller/阿马特耶之家 is next to Casa Battllo, but it is not well-known by people.

Museu Picasso/毕加索博物馆 was built in 1963 even though the artist was alive at that time.

People had to stand in a queue for hours to visit the museum.

A local typical leather shop was hidden in the pathway to Museum Picasso.

I happened to attend one lecture delivered by president from UK Christian Association in one night.

It was common to meet such many artists on the streets.

Castell de Montjuic/蒙锥克城堡 stands at the toppest hill of Barcelona.

It is a very important internatonal harbor.
