Zhouzhuang has been well-known for China Top 1 Water Town since it started to develop tourism industry 20 plus years ago.

Zhouzhuang has been preserved well because of its inconvenient location far away from any big city.

One of the most famous Chinese painters, Chen Yifei/陈逸飞, painted a set of oil paintings in the name of Hometown Memories including Double Bridges in Zhouzhuang in 1984, which were bought by Armand Hammer.

Armand Hammer, who was the Chairman of American Occidental Petroleum Corporation/美国西方石油公司, presented the oil painting to Deng Xiaoping when he visited China in 1984.

Zhouzhuang came into people's sights all over the world because everyone was curious where it was located in China.

Zhouzhuang is a typical Chinese water town and becomes one of the most popular tourist destinations.  

Shen Wansan's Former Residence/沈厅 is one of the must-see attractions in Zhouzhuang because Shen Wansan was a legendary person, who was reported to be rich enough to defeat the whole country in Ming Dynasty.

It is recommended to take the boat around Zhouzhuang if tourists want to experience riverside authentic life.

Local people are still living in Zhouzhuang, so tourists would be a little touched when they pass through local market.

Boutique hotels/精品民宿 are more and more prosperous in Zhouzhuang and 月上 is my favourite.

It seems like a boat, but it is the boat house, where tourists can have a drink inside.

Homesick Resort Hotel/莼鲈之思度假酒店 is a new large-scale hotel with local taste.
