It is incredible to enjoy the garden and Kuqu opera in the modern exhibition of Jinji Lake Art Gallery, which is being hold from June 11th to September 11th, 2016. It consists of four parts including origin, surprise, seeking and return. These four Chinese characters are all original from one famous Kuqu opera called Peony Pavilion.

Actually, the whole exhibition is designed as if it was a classic garden with the fashionable material such as the white and black gauze. The hanging pictures which were painted by a famous artist look like the real Taihu stones in the gardens.

White cloud made of cotton seems like moving above our heads and the little dots are introduced to the tombs because the pretty girl died of too much missing her boyfriend in Peony Pavilion.

The paintings are describing some traditional performances of Kuqu opera, but they look so artisitc and fashionable.

TIPS: the exhibition is free, but you should get free ticket from the Art Shop at the side of entrance. Get off at the exit 2 at Suzhou Expo Center station of metro line 1.
