Tongli Water Town(同里水乡) is a good option to stay one nigh if you would like to have a short trip around Suzhou for your vacation.

Tongli Water Town has been preservsing very well including not the old houses but also local lifestyle. Local people still live in the old town and it keeps alive and authentic.

There are many old bridges proctected for hundreds of years in Tongli, which are the typical token of Jingnan imagination deep in people's mind.

Tongli Show(水墨同里) is performed at 8:00pm every night at local theater, which is about a real lovely legend story happened in old times.

A pretty girl and a handsome boy fell in love, but the girl's mother didn't approve their marriage because the boy's family turned poor.

The show also is combining intriguing acrobatics. The audiences get more fun and absorb in it.

Eventually, the boy got the first place in national scholar exam with his girlfriend's help. As his promise, he married and lived with his lovely girl happily.

Of course, we can choose to hike around the tranquil water town at night(水乡之夜), which give us more calm in our hearts.

I would like to recommend one typical-experienced hotel if you would stay one or more nights at Tongli. The hotel is called Blossom Inn(花间堂-丽则女学), which used to be a female school with over one hundred years old.

More interesting, you can buy them if you like any items at the room, even the beds or chairs.

The hotel has some high-quality facilities and activities including  tea-house, BBQ.

Retreat and Reflect Garden(退思园) is top one valuable spot worth visiting in Tongli, which is also one of UNSECO listed world cultural heritage.

Pearl Tower Scenic Spot(珍珠塔) is another main attraction, where the lovely legend story happened many years ago.

Luoxinzhou(罗星洲) is a small island outside of the dowtown of Tongli. There is one old temple in the island.

It only takes five minutes to the small island by boat.
