We received one FAM trip group from US recently, who operate luxurious tourism market. They stay four nights at Hyatt Regency Hotel(凯悦酒店) and they are all enjoying traveling from old Suzhou to new Suzhou, from downtown to countryside, from embroidery to food. Here are the itinareries as following.

Day one(第一天): visit the Humble Administration of Garden(拙政园) and Suzhou Museum(苏州博物馆), walk on Pingjiang Road(平江路), drop on Blossom Hill Inn(花间堂) and Kuqu Opera(昆曲)

Suzhou is called the city of gardens. Of course, they can't miss the Humble Administration of Garden, which was listed world cutural herritage site in 1997.

Local people are still living in Pingjiang area, where a lot cutural and historical sites gather. It is nice to hike along the deep lanes and drop on something special what they are interested.

Spend two hours to learn Kuqu Opera, which is one of the first batch of intangible world cutural herritages and also the mother of other Chinese operas.

Hyatt Regency Hotel sponsered the welcoming dinner hosted by Peggy dressed in old Chinese style but fashional Qipao with passionate hospitality and tasty food.

Band from Philippines plays popular music at the bar at night in the hotel.

Day two(第二天): play Taiji at Master of Nets Garden(网师园), No. 1 Silk Factory(第一丝厂), Tiger Hill(虎丘), Santang Street(山塘街), Embroidery Research Institution(刺绣研究所)

It is worth taking boat to experience authentic life of oriental water city along Shantang river.

Tiger Hill is the hallmark of Suzhou, where mysterious historical things happened thousands of years.

The master is guiding them how to make Bonsai better in Tiger Hill.

Have their dinner with western style at Tonino Lamborghini Hotel (兰博基尼酒店).

Day Three(第三天):  Pick up Biluochun(碧螺春) Tea at lakeside of Taihu Lake, flower arranging at Lingering Garden(留园插花), Dinner at Pan House(礼耕堂)

They are eager to pick up tea leaves just like local people.

They are excited to dance together when they hike to the hillside with a wonderful views.

The maste starts to roast tea leaves with his hands in the hot pot, which is typical different from other green teas.

They are smelling fresh and fragrant tea leaves because Biluochun is planted between fruit trees such as waxberry, loquat and orange trees.

The master is brewing up Biluochun and sharing life philosophy with them.

Sun flower seeds and saulted waxberry are the best snacks while drinking Biluochu. 

They are excited to experience local seasonal food at Dongting restaurant(洞庭饭店), which is over 100 years old in Dongshan town.

I am honorable to be the volunteer to guide them in Lingering Garden.

The wood bridge across the lake covers full blooming wisteria in the garden.

They are compteting for flower arranging earnestly based on the guidance and who win the best ultimately?

The master with 30-plus years' work experences has some comments on their works.  

Day Four(第四天): first experience moxibustion(艾炙), take boats driven by local people and drink tea in Tongli water town(同里古镇)

The master is showing how to do moxibustion to ease some pains on the leg, neck or waist. Everyone feels better after the moxibustion.

They are exalted to experience the local lifestyle by taking the boat along the river.  

Drink rose or jasmine tea in traditional tea house like local people.

They are cheering the incredible vegetarian lunch at Xishan hall(喜善堂) at the riverside of Tongli.

They are intimate mother and daughter.

Everyone had a fantastic traveling experience of four days in Suzhou. They all promise to package Suzhou into their business as an unique tourist destionation. All in all, it is successful tourism promotion of Suzhou! Thanks for everyone having done a lot efforts for the FAM trip.
