Suzhou is also named the city of Gardens because there were over 200 gardens in its history. There still have over 20 gardens opening to the public, nine of which has been listed the world culture heritage sites by UNESCO. I am very proud of being a Suzhou citizen and like going to gardens, especially at a rainy day. I enjoy the sounds drummed by raindrops hitting banana leaves.

I try to read and understand the interesting and meaningful stories from the brick or stone sculptures which were caved hundreds of years ago.

I can imagine what kind of life styles the owners of gardens liked at that time.

The pond is one of the core elements in gardens surrounded by houses, pavilions, trees and others.
