I was invited to attend an international academic conference in Xijiao Liverpool University today and was asked to give a five minutes impromptu speech as the only representive of local government.

I was very afraid to fail in the front of so many foreign guests at the beginning, but I had no choice because I was the only guest as local officer who they invited. I was in the round table at the conference with other guests who were all foreigners.

I got a big applause after I finished my speech and I couldn't believe in myself that I succeed in giving a wonderful speech.  I always worried about something wrong when I delivered the speech and of course, something wrong really happened.

All the audiences were very serious, passionate and interactive. There were so many questions when each speaker finished her or his speech.

It was a good chance to meet such many new foreign friends.

I have been dreaming speaking very fluently in the front of the public, but I always failed.  There were so much worries inside my brain that I couldn't speak what I wanted to speak from my brain. On the contrary, I succeeded today when I put down such many worries. Meanwhile, I am eager to attend Suzhou Toastmaster Club every thursday as often as I can, where I always could get courage and encouragement to deliver my speechs. It is all of you who help me succeed at last and pay many thanks to all my dear friends in TMC.
