Gulang Island is the symbol of Xiamen, so it means you haven’t come to Xiamen at all, if you don’t go to Gulang Island. It is very famous for its unique building styles, beautiful scenery, or leisure atmosphere, etc. If it is your fist time to come to Xiamen, you had better go there and have a look around, don’t leave any regret. We also are very eager to visit it.

Because Gulang Island is an absolute island, separating from main island of Xiamen, we had to take the boat to it on the morning of May 20^th. It is so much convenient back and forth that there will be one boat every 5-8 minutes. What’s more, you needn’t buy boat ticket when you enter into it, just only paying 8 Yuan when you come back.

Gulang Island was very prospect in the early 20 century, and many countries set up their own offices on the island. So you can see different country-style buildings everywhere, the local guide called it ten thousand countries buildings Expo. Besides, there are some valuing attractions, two of which are Shuzhuang Garden, and sun-moon rock.

Piano museum is the best scenic spot in the island, where there are so many pianos which we have never seen before, such as the smallest piano, the aged piano, the angled piano, the most expensive piano and others. For this reason, Gulang Island has another name, the piano island. When you wander in the island, you will easily find some street singers, who are singing and playing instrument by themselves. What is amazed most is that you can freely enjoy the music at night.
