We went to Nanjing Tulou yesterday afternoon, which was listed the world cultural heritage in 2008. Tulou is just one of local building styles. Its shape usually has two kinds, one is round and the other is square. In order to protect themselves from invading of animals, enemies and others in old times, the people who came from other places set up this style buildings, where big-family people could live together.

It took us two and a half hours from Xiamen. When we arrived there, it was about 12:00 A.M.. There are so many Tolous in Fujian province that we can’t visit all at one time, just choosing two of them to visit, which are Huaiyuan and Hegui. It is reported that Huaiyuan is the highest Tulou and its shape is square, while Hegui is round. They are so special that all of us are very surprised at them. Until now, there are many local people living in them.
