月亮的传说 

According to Chinese mythology, the earth once had 10 suns circling over it. One day, all 10 suns

appeared together, scorching the earth with their heat. The earth was saved when a strong archer, Hou Yi, succeeded in shooting down 9 of the suns. Yi stole the elixir of life to save the people from his tyrannical rule, but his wife, Chang-E drank it. Thus started the legend of the lady in the moon to whom young Chinese girls would pray at the Mid-Autumn Festival.

    据中国神话传说，从前地球曾有10个太阳围绕它旋转，一天，这10个太阳都一起同时显露，它们聚在一起的热量把地球烧得焦煳焦煳的。一位力大无比的弓箭手——后翌成功地射下了其中9个太阳，从此拯救了地球。在他暴君统治期间，虽然他偷了拯救人们生命的长生不死药，但却被他的妻子——嫦娥偷偷喝下了。所以从此以后每当中秋节月圆之时，中国的少女们都要向月宫仙女——嫦娥祈祷的传说便流传开来。
