初看以为这句子是错的,但其实它(文法上)完全正确。这句短短7个字居然有4个saw.
这四个 saw
词在句中却有不同的用法(文法上叫
“歧义”):
I saw a saw saw
a saw.
第一个saw(verb动词)是see的past tense (过去式)
第二和第四个saw是指木匠用的锯(是个名词noun)
第三个saw是个原型动词(infinite without
“to”),解作锯(动作)
see (hear, smell,
feel一类感觉用的动词也相同)后面的动词必须以gerund或infinite without
“to”形式出现,例如
