教材分析

本课以描述图片或场景为话题，主要运用there are句型，这一句型有一定的难度。本课需要学生掌握的内容有：单词：fruit, chicken, bear, pig. 语句：There are twelve boys on the bike.课文是由大明充当小小解说员，为大家介绍四张关于动物的照片展开的。学生们通过对本课的学习来学会如何运用There be句型来描述图片或场景。

学情分析

四年级的学生活泼好动，乐于参与活动、游戏及表演，这个阶段的儿童注意力不稳定、不持久，难于长时间地注意同一件事物，容易为一些新奇刺激的事物所吸引。所以课上要采用多种教学手段交替使用，创设情景，尽量利用实物、图片及课件等直观教具进行教学，激发学生求知欲望，让他们积极主动地全面参与到课堂学习中来，让他们多听、多说、多练。另外，四年级的学生已有一年学习英语的基础，课堂上尽可能创设真实生动的语言情境，让学生在参与，合作，交流中，感知英语，提高语言运用能力。
