爱与时间

               当爱匆匆来临，

               世俗的人们往往对她不屑一顾；

               当爱渐渐远去，

               天真的我们却又对她依依不舍。

               时间改变了所有人的容颜，

               却摧毁不了宝贵的爱情！

                                              ——偶感

     从前，有一座岛上住着人所有的情感：快乐、悲伤、智慧以及所有其他的情感，包括爱情。有一天，所有的这些感情都得知这座岛快要沉没了，所以，所有的情感都建造好船只离开了小岛，唯独爱情没有离开。

    爱情是唯一留下来的，她想坚持到最后一刻。当这座到将要完全沉没的时候，爱情决定寻求帮助。

    当富裕乘着一艘巨轮经过爱情的时候，爱情对他说：“富裕，你能带我跟你一起走吗？”

    富裕回答说：“不，我不能。我的船上有很多金银财宝，没有空间留给你。”

    于是，爱情决定向乘着豪华游艇经过的自负求助：“自负，请帮帮我！”

    “我不能帮你，爱情，你全身湿透了，会把我的船弄坏的。”自负回答道。

    这时，悲伤渐渐向小岛靠近，于是爱情请求道：“悲伤，让我跟你一起走吧。”

    “噢……爱情，我太难过了，我想一个人呆着！”

    说着，快乐也从爱情身边经过，但是她太高兴了以至于她没有听见爱情的呼喊。

    突然，从远处传来一个声音：“过来，爱情，我会带你离开。”那是一个老人。爱情喜不自禁甚至忘了问老人他们将要去哪里。当他们到达干燥的陆地时，老人独自离开了。意识到自己欠老人一份情，爱情就问叫知识的老人：“是谁救了我？”

    “是时间。”知识回答道。

    “时间？”爱情问道，“时间为什么要救我了？”

    知识的脸上流露出智慧的笑容并回答道：“因为只有时间能够理解的爱情是多么宝贵。”

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?"

Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!"

"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."

"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who helped me?"

"It was Time," Knowledge answered.

"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."
