4. the sooner the better 越快越好

 “the + 比较级，the + 比较级”, “越…就越…”

 The more trees you plant, the better environment you will have.

 The more you eat, the fatter you will be.

5. trick n. 戏法，把戏；窍门

 play a trick on/upon somebody.捉弄某人

 learn/master the tricks of something 学习/掌握……的诀窍

Tom is always playing tricks upon his classmates.

We should master the tricks of learning English.

6. stop……(from) doing……

  prevent……(from) doing……“阻止……以免做某事……”

  keep……from doing……

Nothing can stop/prevent us (from) marching forward.

Please keep the children from swimming in the sea.

7. on (the) one hand…….,on the other hand……

“一方面…另一方面…”

 On (the) one hand, we must study hard. On the other hand, we should make our body strong.
