Lesson Twenty-Four  The Birth of Moses 摩西出生

Now a man of the house of Levi married a Levite woman, and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him for three months. But when she could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with tar and pitch. Then she placed the child in it and put it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile. His sister stood at a distance to see what would happen to him. Then Pharaoh's daughter went down to the Nile to bathe, and her attendants were walking along the river bank. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her slave girl to get it. She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and she felt sorry for him. "This is one of the Hebrew babies," she said.  有一个利未家的人、娶了一个利未女子为妻。那女人怀孕、生一个儿子、见他俊美就藏了他三个月。后来不能再藏、就取了一个蒲草箱、抹上石漆和石油、将孩子放在里头、把箱子搁在河边的芦荻中。孩子的姐姐远远站着、要知道他究竟怎么样。法老的女儿来到河边洗澡、他的使女们在河边行走．他看见箱子在芦荻中、就打发一个婢女拿来。他打开箱子看见那孩子、孩子哭了、他就可怜他、说、这是希伯来人的一个孩子。出埃及记 2：1-6
