日本的雄松堂 (Yushodo)是一个致力于文献出版和电子化的组织。创建于1932年，主要业务可能是珍本书籍的买卖，后来业务逐渐扩大，自称可在全球范围内为大学、图书馆、研究机构和专业人士提供相关资料。
    据台湾某大学图书馆的介绍，雄松堂 (Yushodo) 于日本乃至东亚之出版界，有着不可动摇的权威地位。进入21世纪，当电子出版事业兴起，雄松堂 (Yushodo) 继续专门搜集、出版发行古书、西方学术书籍、出版物、博硕士论文、微缩数据、并积极投入电子出版品之营销。雄松堂在日本市场的主要的产品有：微缩数据、博硕士论文、学术工具书和学术书籍、古书、以及数字档案计划。这些产品在台湾地区已经有大学订购。

    该公司重版了若干19-20世纪出版的西文期刊，很值得研究东方学尤其是远东地区的学者注意，当然也包括笔者这类关注西方汉学与中西文化交流的人，试举数例如下：

    以上6中期刊，只有最后一种笔者在博士论文中有所引用，当时是在徐家汇藏书楼看到的，查了一下国内竟然有文学研究者利用该刊的研究成果发表。

    为什么说这些刊物重版值得重视呢？主要的原因就是之前很难见到，像徐家汇藏书楼这样的地方，非上海的研究者很难有机会利用，重版后只要有Money，有兴趣，就可以用了，当然是善莫大焉，尤其是对于历史学的研究者来说更是如此。再者，在19世纪时，西方人对东亚的了解还相当有限，出版资料中极少是仅仅关注于东亚某国的，常常是囊括整个区域，中日韩不作区分的，越早越是如此。在这种形势下，雄松堂所收资料虽然主观上以与日本相关为主要考虑，但关于中国的必定不少。
