听说北海公园五龙亭附近有菊花展，好像上个月就开幕了，不知是否撤展，上个周日下午心怀侥幸去走一趟，即使闭展，也算是公园溜湾、晒晒太阳。运气不错，算是把俺平生没见过的菊花都瞧遍了，那个美啊。菊花展上婀娜多姿、形态各异、争奇斗艳的美菊，来自北京各大公园，也有点赛擂台的意思，花名各异，俺开始时还想记来着，实在品种太多，后来就放弃了这种努力。古今文人赏菊、咏菊、叹菊的诗词很多，俺那点拙词笨句根本无法形容千娇百媚于万一，就不献丑了。
