A Child's Angel  孩子的天使

     Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day he asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there, being so small and helpless?" "Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you," God replied.
       从前，有一个孩子快要出生了。一天，他问上帝，“听说明天你要把我送到人间去了，我那么小而无助，在哪儿怎么生存呢？”上帝答道，“我在众多的天使中给你挑了一位。她会等着你，照顾你的。”
    "But here in heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile, that's enough for me to be happy."
      “但在这天堂里，我除了唱呀，笑呀，其他什么也不做，这就足以使我幸福了。”
      God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy." The child said, "And how am I going to be understand when people talk to me, if I don't know the language that people speak?" God told the child, "your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."
    上帝说，“你的天使会每天为你唱，为你笑的。你会感受到你的天使对你的爱，你会幸福的。” 孩子说，“如果我不懂人类的语言，别人对我说话时，我怎么能明白呢？” 上帝对孩子说，“你的天使会告诉你从未听过的、最美好、最悦耳的词语，还会耐心地、仔细地教你说话。”
       "And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
    “可是我想和你说话时，该怎么办呢？”
       "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray." The child said, "I've heard that on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me?" God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking her life."

“你的天使会将你的双手合在一起，教你祈祷。” 孩子说，“我听说人间有坏人，那谁来保护我呢？” 上帝说，“你的天使会保护你的，即使那意味着她要冒生命危险。”

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."
     “但我总会伤心，因为我再也见不到你了。”
      Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach the way for you to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you."
      “你的天使总会对你谈到我，她会教给你回到我身边的办法，尽管我总会在你左右。”

      At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard, and the child in a hurry, asked softly, "Oh, God,  if I am about to leave now,  please tell me my angel's name!"  God replied, "Your angel's name is not hard to remember. You will call your angel Mommy."

   此时天堂一片宁静，而人间的说话声已可听到。孩子匆匆地细声问道，“啊，上帝，如果此刻我就该离开的话，请告诉我，我的天使的名字。”上帝答道，“你的天使的名字并不难记。你会管你的天使叫妈妈。”
