本周马迪亚与我们分享他是如何爱上了烹饪。
1.是什么激发你对烹饪的兴趣?
小的时候,我常常呆在外婆家。但我外婆并不擅长烹饪,很多时候我得自己做点东西来填饱肚子。就在那个时候,我慢慢开始对烹饪产生兴趣,外婆和家人也很支持我,他们都建议我把烹饪当成自己未来的职业。就这样,我成为了一名专业的厨师。
2.你第一次烹饪是什么时候?
我14岁起开始烹饪,在发现对食物和烹饪的兴趣后,我决定去厨师学校进行专业的学习。我的14岁至17岁是在意大利的圣文森度过的,在那里我系统地学习了烹饪的技巧和专业知识。这三年的暑假,我都在当地的五星酒店和一些本地餐厅里实习,这些经历对我的职业生涯起了很大的帮助。
3.你自己烹饪的第一道菜是什么?
我自己做的第一道菜是“茄汁意面”,父亲教会了我这道菜。我的父亲非常喜欢意大利面,他也常常在家里做。他所做的美味意大利面是我童年美好回忆的一部分。虽然在这些年的职业生涯中,我做过许多高级的料理,但父亲的意大利面永远是我在餐桌上最想吃到的菜!

Mattia shares with us this week how he discovered his love for cooking.

When I was a little kid, I spent a lot of time at my grandmother’s place. My grandmother isn’t a very a good cook so when I was with her I would start cooking some food on my own. After awhile I discovered I really enjoyed cooking and I wasn’t bad at it! My grandmother and family encouraged me to become a professional chef. So here I am, working as a chef!

I started cooking at the age of 14. After discovering my passion for cooking, I decided to study at a cooking school. From when I was 14 to 17, I studied at a school in St. Vincent, Italy. During summer vacations, I took internships at five star hotels and local restaurants, which gave me valuable cooking experience.
3.
The first thing I cooked on my own was “spaghetti with tomato sauce.” My father is a big fan of spaghetti and he used to cook it all the time at home. He taught me how to make it as well and one of my favorite childhood memories. Although I have cooked a lot of gourmet food during my career, my father’s “spaghetti with tomato sauce” is always one of my favorite dishes!
