Richmond Hill Montessori and Elementary Private School，离家10公里，一所冠以Montessori之名、但是G1-G8都跟Montessori没什么关系的私校，1986年建校，2005年成为not-for-profit非营利性质的。不是交钱就可以上的，需要Admission Assessment入学考试。

去年妈妈就看上了这所学校，不过壮儿没有通过，加上接送时间的问题，就去了Century Montessori, 也就有了上个星期四六月18号的再来考一次。12:45分妈妈从Century接壮儿去RHMS。

壮儿粗心起来，2+3都能做错变成6！怎么才能让壮儿认真起来而不粗心大意呢？ 

“Some moment, something, is kinda important for you, because probably what you do in the next few years is determined by that something at that moment, even affect your future a lot. 有些时刻、有些事对一个人来说会格外重要，因为这些时刻的某些事会决定/影响你以后几年做什么，对你的将来也许会有很大影响。”

“I don’t really get it. 我不是太懂。”

“Let's say, last year you didn't pass the test, so you couldn't come here, so you had to go Century Montessori. If you have passed, you were here now. The test you taking last year basically determine which school you stay for G1. That test is the thing at that moment kinda important for you, if you do like this school, if the school is really good for you. 这么说吧，去年你来考试没通过，所以就不能来这个学校读书，就去了Centrury Montessori。如果你去年考过了，也就来这里了。去年那个考试基本就决定了你一年级去哪个学校。如果你的确喜欢这个学校而且这个学校的确对你来说更好，那么那个考试就是一个对你比较重要的时刻和事情。”

“I think you do like the school, that's why you are here again. I guess you want to make it, don't you? 妈妈觉得你的确喜欢这个学校，所以你又来考试了。妈妈猜想你想成功进这个学校，对吧？”

“Yes”

“Then today this moment is such kinda important moment, the assessment is the important thing.  It's serious. I don't think it is big challenge moment, but you need to be seriously, carefully and strong enough! 那这会儿就是这样一个重要时刻，这个考试就是重要的事情。这是认真的。妈妈觉得这不是个挺难的事儿，但是需要你足够认真、仔细。”

“Just do your best, be calm. Not get too excited, or you lose your mind a little bit, you make mistakes. I think you can handle it. 你只需要平静下来，尽力就好。你疯起来就会出错。我觉得你能做得很好。”

“It's not the moment you suppose to worry about the result, don't even think about it at all. In case you fail again you still can come back next year. If it's the thing you really want, just keep doing your best, especially now. 这会儿就不要担心结果，甚至想都不要想。万一你再次没过，明年还可以再来的。如果这就是你要做的事，一直努力就好，特别是这会儿。”

“Watch your behavior, be calm, be polite, listen and follow the teacher, concentrate on the test, don't forget why you are here. Okay? 注意你的行为举止，平静、有礼貌、专心听、跟随老师的要求、注意力集中到考试上，别忘了你为什么来这儿，好吗？”

“Honey, Doing your best is the only right thing to do now. I know you can make it, today or next time. I love you. 宝贝儿，尽力而为是你现在唯一要做的。妈妈知道你能做到，今天或者下次。妈妈爱你。”

妈妈其实并不怎么担心壮儿的这个测试，对今天的他来说应该不会太难，壮儿只需要平静认真就可以。搞得有点郑重其事，是想让壮儿最终有些成就感，让他觉得是自己认真努力的结果。

不到一个小时的考试，老师把壮儿和另一个孩子Elliot，也是壮儿的同学送出来。老师跟妈妈直说：Sunny is a very good boy, very good boy!

老师要对考试结果给出评语，送交副校长与校长一起Review，然后副校长决定收还是不收，最后给家长打电话告知结果。

从学校出来，车子刚上大路，壮儿忽然问：“Do you still love me if I don't pass the test? 我要是没考好，你还爱我吗？”

“Sunny, you know that, right? I love you just because you are my boy, not because you are a GOO---D boy. The fact you should know is GOOD boy may fail on test once a while. 你知道的，我爱你是因为你是我的孩子，不是因为你得是个好孩子。事实上好孩子也会考不好的。”

5:40PM Karate课结束，车子刚上大路，壮儿忽然自言自语：“I hope I passed the test。 但愿我考过了。”.

妈妈正在厨房忙，壮儿说：“What if I don't pass the test? wu--- 我要是没考过怎么办？呜---”壮儿双手捂脸假扮痛哭状。

 妈妈感动、心疼，还是忍着没说什么，就是把长长的微笑给了壮儿。小男子汉，好好体会下这个过程，小小的历练和成长吧。挫折和渴望留不下痕迹，怎么体会目标达成的快乐？
