续范亭（1893—1947），山西原平人。中国现代著名军事家、政治家。也是一位著名诗人。早年参加孙中山领导的同盟会后，在国民党任职，曾经隐退一段时间，后与共产党人合作创建山西新军。1940年1月15日成立晋西北行政公署，续范亭任行署主任。他擅长写旧体诗，也写新诗。1935年他在南京拜谒中山陵时悲愤地写下《哭陵》一诗，并在陵前剖腹自戕，要求抗日。他的小诗精炼泼辣，力透纸背，自成一格。著有诗集《续范亭诗选》等。
Xu Fanting (1893-1947), Shanxi Yuanping
people. Famous modern Chinese military strategist and statesman.
Also a famous poet. After participating in the early years of the
alliance led by Sun Yat-sen, the KMT office, he had retired for
some time, in cooperation with the Communists after create Shanxi
New Army. January 15, 1940 the establishment of Northwestern Shanxi
Civil Administration, Xu Fanting any Administrative Officer. He is
good at writing old style poetry, also wrote new poetry. In 1935 he
wrote bitterly paid respects to Sun Yat-sen in Nanjing, "cried
Ling," a poem, and laparotomy suicide before the tomb, requiring
anti-Japanese. His verses refining pungent, penetrating, sui
generis. The collection of poems, "Xu Fanting Poems" and so
on.
