梁宗岱（1903－1983），原籍广东新会，出生于广西百色。中国现当代著名诗人、翻译家、文学评论家。梁宗岱少年得志，16岁时就获得“南国诗人”之美誉。他早年游学欧洲各地。回国后历任北京大学、清华大学、南开大学、复旦大学、中山大学、广州外国语学院教职。翻译过歌德的《浮士德》等名家作品，所译莎士比亚十四行诗被余光中誉为“最佳翻译”。梁宗岱建国初期和文革期间均遭迫害。后被平反恢复名誉。著有诗集《晚涛》等及论文集《诗与真》等多部。
