上海夜生活过的不少，

却甚少花时间去真实的体验这个城市。

It's not that the city doesn't provide us with the opportunites,

but that we often lack the motivation to enjoy the city.

既然了解这个道理，

我们决定要多花时间做些有意义的事充实自己。

今天下午和两个姐妹相约去看国际当代艺术展。

其实很多作品都看的雾洒洒，

但是这一位意大利女画家的作品我却是第一眼就喜欢。

虽然 ~天~价~

还是要在这里show 一下她的作品。

这两幅都是 google 下来的，

今天看到特别喜欢的那幅取名 Snow 2009， 网上暂时找不到。 

她的画虽然都有点黑暗，

但却仍能给人一种浪漫的感觉。

她绘画的手法很细，

而且我特别喜欢她把衣服的fabric pattern 和背景融合为一体的风格。

Have experienced much of Shanghai’s night life,

but never really enjoy the quality life of the city.

With that in mind,

my girlfriends and I decided to do something cultural to better ourselves.

We took the afternoon off to visit the Contemporary Art Fair.

I have to say that most of the displays did not really “tickle my fancy”,

But we were all pleasantly surprised at the scale and variety of the talents exhibited.

There was one artist whose work really caught my eye,

I dragged my friends over and was like “here, you need to take a look at this.”

And we all stood there for minutes admiring her brush strokes.

Obviously I was too chicken to ask about the price so I sent my friend over instead (yup, that’s what friends are for)

The guy from the gallery was kind enough to give us a little background info on the artist.

Italian…blah blah…..

canvas….blah blah….

technique…..blah blah…

price…..blah -> wow -> obviously not within my price range

but the gallery guy did give me a booklet from her exhibition last year as a gift,

and her work is truly AMAZING!

So even though these paintings won’t be framed up in my living room anytime soon,

I wanted to share some of her work here.

Both of the paintings posted I googled,

The one I really loved from today is named “Snow 2009” and it can not be found yet.

Her work is a little dark but somehow still translates romance,

Her brush stroke is so delicate and I love how she blinds the cloth fabric pattern with the background.

AMAZING!
