二、教学流程设计
Step1:Pre-writing
Purpose: To help the students to review the vocabulary about friendship they’ve learned, understand some new words in relation to the topic we’ll talk about, and make them prepared for the next tasks.
1. Leading-in (3 min)
Questions: 1. Do you have any friends?
2. Can you describe one of your good friends? (ask some students)
2. Brainstorm (5min) (Group work)
Question1: What comes up to your mind when “friendship” is mentioned?

Group Competition
Make a list of words that you can use to describe your friends and how to make friends easily.

Step2: Warming-up &Writing
Purpose: To let Ss master the key expressions of describing friendship and know the main parts when write a description of animals. To develop Ss’ writing ability.

Step 3 While-Writing
Task: Make a draft/structure and then write a short passage.
假如你叫李华,你的朋友Jessica因为父母工作调动不得不转到一所新的学校学习。在陌生的环境中,她因为没有朋友而深感苦恼,因而给你写信求助。请你用英语写一封回信,就如何结交新朋友给她提供一些建议。
注意:
信件内容要连贯完整,条理清楚;
信的开头已经为你写好,但不计入总词数;

Dear Jessica,
I’ve received your letter, knowing that you are upset at having no friends. Here I’ll give you some good advice.
Firstly, you must realize no one wants to be lonely in class. So why not speak to the students you’re sitting next to? It’s very easy to start a conversation. What you need do is just to say bravely. Once you’ve done this, all this will get easier and easier.
Secondly, you can ask your teachers to pair you with other people. Don’t put yourself under too much pressure. Once a few people have accepted you, the rest will accept you more quickly.
A good friend is my nearest relation. So I do hope you can make as many good friends as possible.

Summary of Writing skills:
1) 在整篇文章中,避免只是用一、两个句式。要灵活运用各种句式。如倒装句、强调句、省略句、主从复合句、对比句、分词短语、介词短语等。使用不同长度的句子,通过分句和合句,增强句子的连贯性和表现力。
2) 词汇的选择灵活新颖,出奇制胜.避免重复使用同一单词或词组。
3) 上下贯通、一气呵成。正确而巧妙地使用好连接词。
Step 4 Homework
写作:英语中有一句谚语:“A friend in need is a friend indeed.". 请你根据自己的理解和经验,结合所给的汉语提示,用英语写一篇短文。要点如下:
1. 每个人都需要朋友,如何交友极为重要。
2. 要交朋友,首先对别人要好。微笑是吸引别人的吸铁石(magnet)。
3. 要使陌生人不管在何处,都能感觉到你的亲切。要关心别人胜过关心自己,不要以貌取人。
4. 设法记住别人的姓名。
5. 与别人有分歧时,不要争吵,要商量。
6. 不要相信那些在危急时刻背离朋友的人,因为“患难的朋友才是真正的朋友”。
注意:词数120词左右;8-10个句子。

四、教 后 记
关于友情,大家肯定有很多话要说,对此也比较感兴趣。本堂课通过多种多样的热身练习(与本课题写作有关)导入,层层递进,最后导出整篇文章的写作,尤其是通过speaking让学生口述了类似的写作内容,既锻炼了学生的口语表达能力,也为接下来的“写”打好坚实的基础。通过写作练习和比较以及在PPT上的实例帮助学生完善写作技巧,明确写作要求和步骤,小组合作帮助学生取长补短。但本堂课不足之处是在这节课,由于时间的仓促,对学生作文的点评时间不够。
