校园英语学生对话精选（F-L）

英语单词永远是英语学习的最重要的组成部分。留学英美国家，首先最需要掌握的，当然是校园英语。下面的单词（包括俚语）和例句，是我从Wood Ward English里搜寻到的。我选取了大部分词句，加了注释和翻译。托福的听力考试中，包括大量的校园对话。相信准备托福的考生，若熟背这些例句，听力分数一定会有显著提高。

 

 　

Fail (verb): 不及格
- It is your own fault that you failed. You should have studied more.

你不及格那是你的错。你应该更多地学习。 

 

Fee (noun): 收费，费用
- I see they have increased the fees for using the gym this semester.

我看到他们已提高了这个学期使用体育馆的收费了。 

 

Field trip (noun): （学生的）实地考察旅行
- We went on a field trip yesterday to see the effects of deforestation and erosion near a local park.

昨天我们去实地考察旅行，去看本地一个公园的森林砍伐和侵蚀的效应。 

 

Figure out (verb): 想想，想出
- I can’t figure out why I got such a low grade in the exam.

我想不出为什么这次考试我得分这么低。 

 

Fill-in-the-blank (adjective): 填充

- I usually find fill-the-blank questions hard because if I don’t know an answer, it is difficult to guess it.

我总觉得如果不知道啥是答案的话，填充题很难，很难猜。 

 

Fill out (verb): 填表
- You’ll need to fill out this form before we can give you the library card.

在我们给你图书卡前，你需要填这张表。 

 

Final (exam) (noun): 期末考试
- Everyone is nervous because the final exam is next week.

人人都很紧张，因为下周有期末考试。 

 

GPA (noun): Grade Point Average 的缩写，即平均分数。分数0-4。
- If a student’s G.P.A falls below 2.0, then they will be put on probation.

如果学生的平均分数低于2.0，那就会被留校察看。 

 

Grades (noun): 分数。以数字或字母（A、B、C、D）表示。
- This year I have been getting good grades.

今年我已经都获得了好分数。 

 

Group Project (noun): （三个或三个以上的同学一起完成的）作业项目
- The professor gave a group project to be done by next Friday.

教授给我们组的一个下周五得完成的作业项目。 

 

Hand back (verb): 交还（作业）
- The professor handed back out essays and only a few were happy with the grade they got.

教授交还了作文，只有少数人对得到的分数感到满意。 

 

Handout (noun): （教授发的上课用的）概要

- The professor gave us a handout containing a list of the most common spelling mistakes in English.

教授给我们的概要包括英语中最常见的拼写错误的单词表。 

 

Hit the books (verb): 拼命学习
- We had better hit the books tonight to get ready for the exam tomorrow.

今夜我们得拼命学习，为明天考试做好准备。 

 

Keep grades up (verb): 保持良好的平均分数
- My parents said that if I kept my grades up, they would reward me with a new bike.

我爸妈说如果我平均分数保持良好，他们会奖励我一辆新自行车。 

 

Lab (noun): 实验室
- I need to find a partner for my biology lab.

我要找一个生物学实验室的伙伴。 

 

Learn by heart (verb): 记住，背出来

- We had to learn a poem by heart and recite it in front of the class.

我们得记住一首诗，在课堂上背出来。 

 

Lecture (noun): 教授的授课
- The professor gave such a boring lecture that half the class fell asleep during it.

教授给我们上的课太没劲了，以致课中半数同学都睡着了。 

 

Midterm (noun): 期中考试
- I only got a B on my midterm in physics

我物理学期中考试得了个B。 

 

Miss class (verb): 缺课
- I missed class yesterday because I had a dentist appointment.

昨天我缺课，因为我去看牙科。 

 

Mock exam (noun): 模拟考试
- I passed the mock exam so I think I’ll do well in the real thing.

我模拟考试通过了，所以我觉得正式考试我会考得不错。
