The weather is hot – summer has arrived in Beijing! Summer is by far the busiest time of year for the U.S. Embassy visa section because so many tourists, students, and business travelers need to apply for visas at this time. It is very important to apply early and to bring all of your documents with you. The most important document for students and business travelers is a resume or CV. This should include which degrees you have (ie, Phd, Masters, Bachelor, etc), what subjects you majored in, what kind of research you did, what jobs and/or internships you had, and a list of all your publications. If we need to do further processing for your application because your resume is too simple or incomplete, then we will ask you to send us a new one which will slow down the processing time, so please bring a detailed resume in English when you apply to save time and to help us better serve you!
