Teaching contents: A Letters and sounds

Teaching objectives:

a.       Enable Ss to listen, say, read and write the letters: Ee, Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii。

b.       Enable Ss to listen and say the words: egg, elephant, face, foot, green, gift, hand, hi, ice, ice-cream。

c.       Enable Ss to listen and say the chant, finish the exercise“Listen and circle”。

Main and difficult points:

1.       Main points: to grasp the four-skilled letters and two-skilled words.

2.       Difficult points: the writing of the letters.

Teaching Procedures:

Step1 Warming up & Revision

1.       Greetings

Good morning! How are you?

2.       Sing a song“ABC song”

3.       Review the letters“Aa~Dd”

Step2 Presentation & Practice

1.       Letters and sounds

（1）Ee

①T: Today, we’ll meet new friends of letter’s family. Look, what’s this? 

学生看课件：一座小山翻倒过来变成E，学生认读。

T: Let’s write “E”. Look at me, big “E”, one, two, three. Now, show your finger, follow me, one, 

two, three. 在黑板四线格中示范，讲解笔顺，学生书空。 
T: Let’s write “e”. Look at me, small “e”, one. Now, show your finger, follow me, one. 在黑板四线格中示范，讲解笔顺，学生书空，并在本子上书写Ee。

②学习单词egg，elephant感知Ee在单词中的读音。

（2）Ff

①幻灯片展示大象的脚，T: The foot is very big. 
②出示foot与face的单词卡片，让学生找出它们的相同字母，总结其发音。教师出示字母Ff卡片并领读。

T: Let’s write “F”. Look at me, big “F”, one, two, three. Now, show your finger, follow me, one, 

two, three. Let’s write “f”. Look at me,small “f”, one, two. Now, show your finger, follow me, one, two.  在四线格中示范，讲解笔顺，学生书空。 
（3）Gg

①T: Goodbye, foot, goodbye face. Who is coming? 
Ss: Gg. 
T: Gg, Gg.  Ss follow. 
T: This is big G, this is small g. 
Choose two Ss to read.  教师强调书写规则。
②学生回忆所学过的带g的单词，说出bag或green。
③让学生根据所学过的这两个词总结出Gg的读音。

④教学单词gift。

⑤教师出示包装好礼物的图片（绿色的礼物盒）

T: This is a green gift.学生跟说。

（4）Hh

①Chant

T: Egg, egg, egg.                Ss: This is my egg.

T: Elephant, elephant, elephant. Ss: This is my elephant.

T: Face, face, face.             Ss: This is my face.

T: Gift, gift, gift.             Ss: This is my gift.

T: Hand, hand, hand.             Ss: This is my hand.

②课件出示hand和hi，学生找出共同字母Hh；教师板书Hh并和学生一起书空练习。

（5）Ii

①由hi读音导出字母i，教师板书i及I，让学生书空。

②出示单词ice的图片，说：Ii↗，Ii↘，ice。并逐渐过渡到ice cream的教学。

2.     Listen, repeat and chant.

（1）学生读Listen, repeat and chant.部分单词。

（2）学生跟读，chant。

3．Listen and circle.

教师播放录音，学生圈出所听到的字母。

4．Write and say.

（1）教师任意说字母，学生书空。

（2）学生在练习本上书写所学5个字母。

Step3 Extension & Consolidation

1. Let’s chant

尖角A，双圆B，半圆C，馒头D，倒山E，牙刷F，鱼钩G，梯子H，工字I。
2. Put the letters Aa-Ii in order.

3. Match the big letters with small letters.

Step4 Summing up

1. Copy the letters five times.

2. Listen to and read the contents on Page 26.
