基于项目的学习(PBL)是一种以学生为中心的教学法，它包括一种动态的课堂教学方法，相信学生通过积极探索现实世界的挑战和问题来获得更深层次的知识。学生通过长时间地调查和回答复杂的问题、挑战或问题来学习某一主题。它是一种主动学习、探究式学习的学习方式。PBL与纸质、死记硬背或教师主导的教学不同，后者通过提出问题、问题或情景来呈现既定事实或描绘一条通向知识的平坦道路。
Project-based learning (PBL) is
a student-centered pedagogy that involves a dynamic classroom
approach in which it is believed that students acquire a deeper
knowledge through active exploration of real-world challenges and
problems. Students learn about a subject by working for an extended
period of time to investigate and respond to a complex question,
challenge, or problem. It is a style of active learning and
inquiry-based learning. PBL contrasts with paper-based, rote
memorization, or teacher-led instruction that presents established
facts or portrays a smooth path to knowledge by instead posing
questions, problems or scenarios.
