金泽MARIKO于1954年生于长崎，45岁那年突然决定开始学水彩画。“在那之前，我从未想过要学画，只是呆呆地凝视着飞机云的时候，突然冒出了‘要不……学画吧’的念头。那时有一种强烈的感觉，好像一扇封印的门打开了。”两年后，金泽MARIKO获得“詩とメルヘン”（诗与童话）插画比赛佳作奖。
