● “没有像……的事或东西”，这是词面意思。

 

 1）I am told that you have some trouble with your girl friend. —— No, nothing

      like that.

           我听说你与女朋友有了麻烦?  —— 不，没有那么回事。

    2）Nothing like this has ever been encountered before.

 这样的事以前还从没遇到过呢。

       3）There is no friendship in them, no particular interest, nothing like sentiment.

 他们之间没有友谊，也没有特别的兴趣和感情之类的东西。

         4）There is nothing like this in ancient Chinese sculpture because of different

            social attitudes.

 由于社会观念不同，在中国古代雕塑中像这样的作品是根本不可能有的。
