亲爱的球迷们：

昨天在热火与魔术比赛的中场休息时，我非常激动地看到我的朋友、大学队友和好兄弟阿龙佐-莫宁的球衣退役仪式。许多乔治敦大学的朋友都去了现场，包括帕特里克-尤因、约翰-汤普森教练和大学校长。我没哭，但莫宁哭了，因为这是属于他的光荣的一天。在热火21年的NBA历史上，还没有办过球衣退役仪式呢，直到周一晚上莫宁填补了这个空白。在1月宣布退役后，这个荣誉似乎就在等待着他。他成为热火队史上球衣退役第一人。

现在我仍然象昨晚一样为他高兴。我还记得我们在大学里谈论NBA的日子。我们都不知道自己会在这个联盟里打那么久。莫宁最打动我的是他浑身散发的人性魅力。在球场上他才华横溢，球场下他更是楷模。我知道我的球衣退役仪式也会很快到来。球迷们，这就是生活。我们不能永远站在球场上。对阿龙佐来说，这是他生命中最重要的一个夜晚。我为他高兴。

Dear fans,

It was very emotional for me yesterday to see my friend, college teammate or my brother Alonzo Mourning having his jersey retired at the halftime of the Miami Heat vs Orlando Magic. There were too many guests from Georgetown University. Patrick Ewing, Coach John Thompson and the University president. I did not cry but Alonzo Mourning did because it was Mourning Glory day. Never before in the Heat's 21-year NBA history had the club retired a player's jersey until Monday, and it was as if the honor waited for the man who had to be first after announcing his retirement in January. He has began the first Miami Heat player to have his jersey hangs in the America Arena.

I am happy for him as I was yesterday. I remembered those days we were in college talking about the NBA. We did not know that our journey in the league was going to be this long. One thing that touch me by my friend Alonzo Mourning, is his humanity. He was a superb talent on court, an even better man off of it.. I know that my day is coming very soon to hang my jersey too. It is part of life fans. We can not play forever. For Alonzo, it was one of the greatest nights of his life. I am happy for Zo.
