维亚·多勒罗莎（Via Dolorosa）是耶路撒冷的一条街道，因为是主耶稣受难时背着十字架从彼拉多的衙门走向各各他的道路。所以也被称为“受难的道路”。这条路现在成为到耶路撒冷朝圣者必走的路。每年都会有许多来自全世界各地的基督徒在这条路上纪念主耶稣的受难，去亲身体验主耶稣为我们背着十字架走过的路。这首歌曲采用希伯来的调子，将整个耶稣基督受难的道路，向我们展开，基督君王他来做我们的赎罪羔羊。
