Appreciation and
comment on Wang Xizhi's Walking on Wheat Straw: The ink on paper of
Walking on Wheat Straw is 24.4 cm long and 8.9 cm wide, which is
the version filled with double outline hook drawing in the Tang
Dynasty. Two lines and fifteen characters: "Step on the straw,
walking, and nine people should
also announce whether to make a decision? Most of them should be
appointed." Currently collected at the Princeton University Art
Museum in the United States.
Why is the word
'walking' written so exaggerated? It is also for harmony. Can the
words' foot 'and' down 'be read: the screen of one, two, and three?
Why is the character 'Ren(任)' written in that way? It suits its
meaning. This calligraphy is well written, a saint of calligraphy.
Open and close freely, act according to the situation, and have a
lively interest in "Yi(易; 周易Zhou Yi)". Axioms and
philosophical principles are translated into Chinese culture. The
Chinese calligraphy is an important carrier of Chinese culture, and
calligraphy has no culture? How can Wang Xizhi be called a
calligraphy sage. This calligraphy: the combination of writing and
painting is good, and the poetic atmosphere is brilliant; Wind,
frost, snow, and rain are always in spring
Who can fully
read and understand this calligraphy work in Princeton?
Possibility, close to zero.
