My Mother's garden

My Mother kept a garden,
a garden of the heart,
She planted all the good things
that gave my life it's start.

She turned me to the sunshine
and encouraged me to dream,
Fostering and nurturing
the seeds of self-esteem...

And when the winds and rain came,
she protected me enough--
But not too much because she knew
I'd need to stand up strong and tough.

Her constant good example
always taught me right from wrong--
Markers for my pathway
that will last a lifetime long.

I am my Mother's garden.
I am her legacy-
And I hope today she feels the love
reflected back from me

今天早上，我送了两本书给真真，里面有这样的一首小诗。我把它摘抄下来，它写的那么真挚。女人看了都可找到其中的自己，有人说女人一生中有三个美丽的名字：女儿、新娘和母亲。她们代表了人性中最脆弱而又顽强、最短暂而又美丽、最深沉持久而又伤感的情怀。

       我不忍看到女儿因为失落且内疚的样子，但又看到了她的成长，人的成长真的和经历有关，作为母亲，纵使我好像在教她，其实不然，一切的感受都是她独自领略。她知道了成功不是那么简单的；她伙伴的安慰让她感动；她觉得发挥不好对不起同学和老师们，而她出局本身却不那么重要。她要长大了，她的路还是靠她自己走。我从旁也在学习，感受做母亲的感受，那是我只做女儿时不能感受的，不是用言语能表达尽的，更加无法替代。希望和痛苦、快乐和平淡总相伴，那就是生活。
