When we grow up, we often get a lot of love, support and help from our teachers, friends as well as our parents. However, we seldom express our gratitude to them. Being grateful to others is what we shouldn’t forget.

As middle school students, not only should we acquire rich knowledge, but also we should have good qualities. I think expressing our gratitude to people who have helped us is among the good qualities we must possess.

       Two years ago, my classmate Wang Wei ran into difficulty because his father had been diagnosed with lung cancer. His father’s illness added to his family’s trouble so that Wang Wei was in danger of dropping out of school. After learning about his difficult situation, our head teacher gave him timely help by allowing him to continue his schooling without any tuition. With the aid of our teacher and classmates, Wang Wei has finished school. Just before this important exam he wrote us a letter expressing his sincere thanks for what we have done. We were deeply moved by his letter.

       Being grateful to people who helped and supported us is what we are supposed to keep in mind forever.

Learning to be grateful makes us develop soundly both physically and mentally.

Being grateful will be a big catalyst （催化剂）for friendly relationship among people. It can shorten the distance with classmates or even strangers. What counts most is that it may make the world full of warmth and let people know what he have done is worthwhile.

Learning to be grateful is of great importance and quite necessary in our life. Thus,people feel obliged to show their gratitude to those, they think, who have offered them help or done something for them. In their opinion, showing gratitude is a proper kind of attitude which brings them comfort, along with sunlight deep into heart, which in turn makes those who offer help feel pleased.

What’s more, they exert positive effects on guiding us in the right direction and leading us to the road of success.

Their guidance in combination with their advice is what it takes to lead us to the road of success.      

Some of us always take it for granted that our parents ,teachers and others should take care of us, ignoring their feelings.

Our parents spend much time looking after us all days. Not only do them give birth to us, but also they give us the chance to be excellent people. We can never repay them enough.

Good example:

Learning to be grateful is of great importance and quite necessary in our life. In daily life, it is impossible for us to deal with all the problems we come across on our own. When puzzled, we can receive the help offered by people around us. Without those help, we couldn’t have lived such a happy life.

Many people are worthy of being appreciated. But we owe our parents gratitude in particular. Also, being grateful to our friends proves to be significant. Our teachers play a very necessary role in our life. We must have a grateful heart, which requires us to help them in return.

Not only should we express our love to all the people who help us a lot, we also need to thank our competitors. That doesn’t necessarily mean fancy words but rather more actions taken to reduce their burden. For instance, we can help our parents do some housework and assist our classmates in solving their problems. In a word, we should spare no effort to help them.

Last week in a bus I saw a young man warmly gave his seat to a woman, who looked tired with a baby in her arms. To my surprise, the woman took the young man’s seat without saying a single word of thanks. Instead she stared at the young man with a cold, suspecting expression, which embarrassed the young man and I felt sorry for him.

    I have thought a lot about this incident. If everyone acts like that woman on the bus, who will be willing to help others? And what will our society be like?

    If someone tries to help you, you should thank him heartily. It is only in this way that people who are willing to help others will find out that their help is really appreciated.  (130个单词)

One young academically excellent man went to apply for a managerial position in a big company. After seeing the young man’s smooth and perfect hands, the director requested him to clean his mother’s hands when he went back home.

    The young man’s father passed away when he was one year old, it was his mother who paid for his school fees by washing clothes for others. When the youth cleaned his mother's hand slowly, his tear dropped down his face.  It was the first time that he had found his mother's hand was so wrinkled and rough, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises incited(刺激，促使) pains so strong that she shivered when cleaned with water. Only then did he realize how much sacrifices his mother had made for him but he never knew and never helped her with housework.

Everyone has the right and the duty to show our gratitude to the world. Only by doing so can we achieve our dream of building up a harmonious society. Only by thanking and caring each other can we we enjoy the same sunshine and appreciate the same love under the same sky.(190单词)

We should be grateful to those who give us love, support and help, which should be remembered by us forever and it is also necessary for us to express gratitude in words or with deeds.

One afternoon on my way home I saw a poor boy begging for money from passers-by on the roadside, maybe he needed money to buy some food or see a doctor. yet nobody paid attention to him. Without hesitation I went up to him and gave him some money.

On arriving home I found my wallet lost. I hurried back to look for it . Finally I found it from that very poor boy, who said he accidentally found it and waited there till I went back to claim it.

Gratitude can make life much more beautiful. Living with gratitude we will have a lot of fun and love in turn.
