那一尾知更鸟，

   That interrupts the morn                  

   清晨嘲哳吵闹，

      With hurried, few, express reports    

      急切而简明地报告—

   When March is scarcely on.              

   三月份快来到。

那一尾知更鸟，

   That overflows the noon                    

   以天真的啁啾—

      With her cherubic quantity,              

      过了晌午她还在叫：

   An April but begun.
