入住的酒店窗口就能清晰地看到泰山，登山的前一天俺还跟室友邹芳说，

泰山一点不高嘛，真是有眼不识泰山...

on the day before climbing the mountain Taishan, I just talked to my room mate Flora Zou in the hotel where we had a very good view of the mountain,  "it looks not so high as to my imagination", I really did not realize its greatness...

第二天的登山我们经受了从未有过的严寒考验，山上的气温是零下8度，俺基本没有拍，双手大部分时间都放入衣兜内取暖了，阿涛带上去的矿泉水全都变成了冰块... 真冷呐！当时要有金酒就...

we encounter an extreme cold snap - minus 8 degrees centigrade

i did not shoot much, my hands were in the pockets for warmth most of the time,

Jack's bottled miniral water was turned to ice cubes... it was really cold!

If we had Gin then and there, it would have been marvellous...
