The number one golfer in the world says he's on target for the Masters. Tiger Woods last on the golf course last June winning the US open on a bad knee now coming off① surgery. He says he's back hitting shots and says his knee and his expected timetable is stable."

I haven't hit, you know, full shots with my entire bag yet. Now so, as far as coming back I don't know I don't know how it's going to respond. You know with, you know, repeated practice days and your long days of practice trying to get back and then also on playing my way into shape②. That's going to, it should take a little bit of the time. The leg has responded well. The strength. I'm actually stronger, and my legs, than I think I’ve ever been. But still you have to understand that healing process of the ligament③, I mean, the ligament isn’t going to heal so fast and to be responsible for your actions④ and I can't stretch that out⑤. So, as much as my legs has responded they weren't the ones I were really cut. You know. It's that the ligament as remind healing time as I said. That's something you have to hear too."

Woods at a news conference today for the Chevron World Challenge where he is not playing but is hosting. Woods was also asked about his caddie Steve Williams who said Phil Mickelson wasn't, you know, very good guy or a favorite person. Tiger said he has spoken to both Williams and Mickelson called it basically unfortunate but said he is now ready to quote⑥, ‘Put it to back’.
