Introduction
Being designed web page will be based on the context of Guangzhou Advance Technologies Co., Ltd that is a real company in which I am now working. This company is specialized in barcode industry covering barcode printer, scanner, handheld terminal and supply (ribbon and label).
Advance Tech is a distributor in China of Intermec Company, which is one of largest barcode equipment manufacturer in the world. Advance Tech’s main business is focused on barcode equipment, ribbon, label and system integration.
Currently Advance Tech has a Chinese vision web site ( http://www.adv-tech.com.cn ) without the module of e-business (see picture 1). It consists of 8 piece of page including Home page, Solution, Product, Software, Download, Barcode knowledge, Partner and Contact. More important information is shown on the Home page of the web page that link to each other of Web page. When clicking the key button, you can further search relatively details.
Set of defined E-business objective.
As the
barcode equipment not like the civil IT product, the users normally
don’t know how to use the device after they just buy. The price is
also high. Therefore, they would rather buy via negotiating with
the vendor and asking for technique support than buy on line.
However, the price of ribbon is low, and the purchasing is
relatively simple. So I
Proposed company customer interface description
I will use the software Dreamweaver to design this web site and build a database to deal e-business with the customer. The web page I am going to design is in compliance with the original page and the principle of the 7Cs of the customer interface. In addition, it can be linked to the each original web page (see the draft of web site, picture 2). This web page is divided into tree parts, above of the page is the background same as the original page. On the right side is the catalogue of the products. On the left side is the order information. When the mouse is put on the picture of product, various of type the product is shown on the screen and you may further click the product, the detailed information will be displayed (see the circle of picture 2). However, only the ribbon can accomplish the transition by the Internet (as above mentioned), and the relative order information in terms of unit price, order number, delivery address, order quantity, buyer (company name), telephone number, email address, payment and so on will appear on the web page. Filling the blank of the buyer, telephone number, email address, delivery address, quantity are necessary. The mouse continue to point the type of the ribbon, the order information will show relative the unit price, and the total amount will automatic produce after being filled the blank of the quantity.
In order to attract the user buying the ribbon on line, we can provide the free test sample if the customer request. But the post fee should be pay by the customer. Any product of inferior quality may be rejected and the payment will be returned to customer.
Analysis of the website prototype

4 customization: except the normal buying, the customer may customize the special size ribbon that he/she need.
5 communication: in the e-business page, I designed a talks board, the customer can talk something via the talks board, directly talk with the representative through the phone as well
6 connection the page of e-business can link to original page of www.adv-tech.com.cn, the product shown on the screen can link to the original catalogue of the product. Each page of e-business can link each other; in addition, the connection was conducted with www.Intermec.com and www.aimglobal.org in every page of e-business.
7 commerce: in e-business, the customer may buy and pay for the order on line.
Functional specification
The functional specification of the web page consist of several facets

3.In this page there are four kind of specification and size of ribbon as well as correspondent unit price. Further enter the page of “buying on line” the customer should fill the blank with some information in terms of the telephone number/fax number, email address, delivery address, when selecting the model and size, the unit price will be presented on the blank. After filling the quantity you want to buy, the blank will show the total amount, because there is a database to support any case of business.
4.From the button of “manager entrance”(below the button of “e-business” in e-business page), the manager may enter the next page to manage the database (virtual pass word and database).
5.If the customer want to buy more model or size of ribbon, click “continue buying” the indication displayed on the screen and require the customer repeat the above step, it originate a purchasing order (virtual order). Check the purchasing list then confirm the order. in order to verified the purchasing order can be printed. After that, the customer continues to enter the next page to pay for the order from “payment”
6.The function of customization is for the customer’s special need that customer could not find the ribbon in the list. The customer may go to next page to customize the special size of ribbon from “customization”.
