这首脍炙人口人尽皆知的歌曲便是1993年台湾中华电视公司根据古典名著《三侠五义》改编制作的一部 长篇电视剧《包青天》的主题曲，该剧以《三侠五义》里的包拯为原型结合民间传说改编而成，在大陆、港台播出获得巨大成功，案情离奇，扣人心弦，善与恶，法 与情，引人深思……主演包公的金超群、主演展昭的何家劲，主演公孙策的范鸿轩扮相深入人心，众多观众被剧中曲折的破案故事深深吸引，因此本片成为20世纪 90年代一部划时代的经典作品，至今为人称道。
