Two years ago, as a volunteer of a charity organization, I went to a remote small village in Yunnan province with several fellow friends. We took air there, and after that took the bus for nearly 5 hours until we arrived at the destination. As soon as I got off the bus, the shabby houses and dusty pathes came into my eyes immediately. I got shocked by the poverty of the village. Some villagers came out to welcome us, and I noticed they were followed by some children who looked very shy. I asked one of the children for her name. She told me that her name is Yaya. Yaya showed us around her school. That was the most special school I had ever seen. There was only one classroom with the roof broken and a thin wooden door. Stepping into the classroom, I found there were no desks at all. Some old chairs were standing there quietly. All the scenes reminded me of the gorgeous and modern teaching facilities in Beijing. Life of people in different places differ so much that I could never imagine. After I came back to Beijing, I advocated more people to donate money for students in undeveloped regions. A lot of kind people gave out their hands.
