The dream of becoming a professional speaker took hold many years
ago. I had a 1 in
a small radio station. Within a short time I realized I could
more 2 serve
my customers by not only selling them the air time, but
also 3 their
ads on radio.
The year was 1989, when one of my customers, Scott, and his office
manager Mary, 4 me
into the office. Mary asked me if I had ever 5 Tony
Robbins. I said I hadn’t. They showed me an 6 to
his work. Then I knew he was a speaker. Putting the full set
of 7 named
Unlimited Power in my hands, Mary said, “Take these tapes home and
listen to the tapes two hours every day. 8 you
listen for 30 days your life will never be the same. After that we
want you to
9 what
you have learned to our team.”
For the next whole 10 I
listened religiously. I noticed my thoughts
shifting(改变)
in a really 11 way.
When the evening for my presentation arrived, I was 12 prepared.
I had so much fun with the preparation for the evening. The evening
went off 13 .
I did great! The group loved my presentation and Scott
couldn’t
have been 14 .
As I was preparing to leave a silver haired gentleman approached
me. “I’m
Scott’s
father. I really 15 what
you said,” he
smiled and extended(伸展)
his hand to 16 mine.
“I have a group of people I would like you to speak to tomorrow
night. You can do the 17 presentation
because what you said today is inspiring.”
Nearly three decades has passed and I have hundreds of
presentations. I’ve 18 in
many cities of Canada and some European countries apart from the
U.S.. I’ve
heard the applause(掌声)
of highly inspired 19 ,
autographed my books for those who wanted
to “take
me home” with them.
20 ,
I’ve earned six figures of dollars by speaking every
year.

答案:DABCD BCADC BADCB ADBCA
学生的典型错误分析:第一道题选A 的属于文章整体把握不到位,
第二题,选B的同学对eagerly 一词理解不深刻,不准确
第三题若选pull 需有 自己不积极,不情愿之意才合适
第8题 :if 和when:if 只是纯粹的假设;when 后的句子应该是you finish listening for 30
days...
13 finally 句子为 The evening came / arrived finally.
