As an English major student , I should learn English well . But how can I learn English well ? From my Lectures Series on English learning by professor Zhang ， I find some basic ideas and methods.
First of all , I should find some good ways to learn English .Language Acquisition is important for me . I must acquire the skill of meaningful communication, the basic language skill . I must know about 3,000 words in my fisrt year in the university . Because of my native language , the poor speech causes preventing from my good pronunciation , so I should have a lofty , modest and realistic goal for my pronunciaton . Intonation is the most big problem for me ,I should make a big effort to improve my pronunciation . Reading some novels and films is also very helpful ; I may meet some new words in the novels and films . It can make me expand the amount of words . I must master usage of some frequent word . Vocabulary learning is time consuming work . I will spend a lot of time , make great effort , read many books , listen to native speakers , practice every day . Context through reading and listening ,I think my English vocabulary will have a big change . Then , for my English grammer , I may choose a grammer book to improve focussthe aspects of grammer , arrange a regular time to practise and review the progress and problem . I should use English as often as I can after class , as it is not enough for me to learn only in class . I can communicate with my roommates or classmates in English whenever it’s possible . Then , I will lishen at 125-250 wpm every night and take the mp3 everytime . I need a good environment which I can make it myself . I can chat with others in English on the internet or just in my life . Keeping reading aloud every morning and trying talking to myself in english when I’m free.
If I can do all these , I believe my english learning will be OK . In my opinion , it does useful to everyone and I’ll try my best to do these .
