Destination British Columbia is recruiting amateur videographers for their Chinese Field Reporter project. This is your chance to work as a BC ambassador, introducing beautiful BC to China and make money at the same time! 

Through your videos, you will introduce interesting activities and places to visit in British Columbia. You will present yourself in front of the camera with ease, speaking natually without script. You will be on your own and expected to shoot videos, interview people, describe and participate in various activities. All works will become property of Destination BC.  

You must be able to shoot, edit and upload your video to the designated websited such as Youku. All videos will be shot in Mandarin, however, you mucst also be fluent in English for communication with the Destination BC program director and tourism partners.  

This is a freelance position open to amateaur videographers. Availability may be retuqired for out of town travel, weekends and holidays. 

Please forward a resume that recent video to Laura.Hoppe@DestinationBC.ca. This video will be 2 to 3 minutes long, and: 1. present your ability to face the camera and talk without script at ease; 2. show you taking video of yourself while speaking to the camera; 3. interview other people, ask them about their favourite places to visit, favourite activites that they don't want to miss; 4. include a clip that shows yourself doing an activity that you'd like to introduce.

Application deadline: March 1, 2014 by noon. Successful candidates will be contacted for interviews by March 15, 2014.
