Being a tourism marketer I've been on the road a lot, travelling
round in British Columbia. I have
From September 22 to 27, My husband J. and I drove along the
Gold Rush Trail heading North into Cariboo region. I'll

In the semi-arie region of Lytton
We passed by Chasm, the yellow, golden and green colours of
birches, cottonwoods, grasses and pines formed an amazing rich
oil-painting - A buck was standing right in the middle of the road
staring us - he was trying to scare us off to protect his friend at
the roadside:
(Historic Hat Creek
Historic Hat Creek Ranch is located at the crossroad of Cariboo
hwy and BC-99.
We were on the way to 100 Mile House. It was pouring rain for
the whole day but all of a sudden, the sun came out, casting long
shadows of the trees in the dusk. Those trees of golden colour -
birds must be humming the songs saying good night now:
The day that we went to Wells - it was cloudy and sometimes it rained. We drove by Williams Lake - the autumn water reflected the dark sky - but the golden colour of water grass still reminded me that there'd be warmth in this world regardless how the world changed:
We encountered pouring rain and heavy hails enroute to gold rush
town Wells. But just a little bit - at this curve, the sun peeped
through with his big smile, bringing us a brilliant patch of golden
trees. A small pool of water reflected the blue sky. We pulled over
and jumped off the car to take some photos, because once we passed
by this streth, that magical ray of sunshine disappeared and it was
dark again - the hails covered everything white.
By the time we arrived at Wells, the hails turned into freezing
rain. It was getting dark and the rain seemed to coming to stop, so
I decided to take a walk with J. At this narrow slope, a lovely
classic car drove by with two old ladies waving at us happily. The
rain got heavily and soon it became snow - the temperature dropped
to -1 C. It was very cold, so I put my hand in J.'s pocket, wrapped
by his big hand:
We went to Bowron Lakes after staying overnight in Wells. A
well-maintained gravel road winded through the rolling hills and
grassland to the lake side. I forgot at which corner - turning my
head and I was awed by the bright airy gold on the trees - the
leaves were flying in the wind. That was the moment that the
sky
Trees in the cold and damp autumn rain, and trees basked in the
sun - the autumn in Bowron Lakes was so moody:
But, to me, as long as J. is by my side, I can always feel the
warmth that he wrapped me in, even in the rain, even under
subzero.
We also spent two days at Hills Health Ranch. Thousands of acres
of ranchland and forest - we took a walk in

Not just maple leaves turn colour in BC. The fall foliagea here
