Good afternoon，ladies and gentlemen．As you see，my topic today is“Family Education”．We have school education，society education，and more importantly，we have family education．I think it is not necessary to say，oh，how my mother required me to do this，how my father required me to do this I just tell you one thing so you can understand how I am，and how my parents asked me to do things．

I've wanted to be a music composer since I could understand things．I did not know what exactly attracted me so deeply that I always felt it was my place to be a music composer I just can remember that every evening when the Chinese national anthem played News Express on CCTV，I would put my tiny chair close to the television，stand on it and contract rhythmically，even when I was only three years old．Then I started to play the piano in my leisure time．I really loved it，although it took most of my time to rest，and it was hard to practice．I was surprised to find that the feelings inside my heart could be expressed by the keyboards I touched myself．It means I can tell others what I am thinking of and what I am crying about by playing the piano through the notes I produced．

After passing the seventh grade of piano in grade 5，and at the age of 11 I stopped learning formal skills．Why？My father and my mother wanted me to do something new，but it wasn't against teamwork．They want me to know something by myself through the process of taking up new things． I took a great interest in composing music，originally I did not even know how a song was created，how a person can find the very way to touch a keyboard which is associated with the feeling of the sound．So I put my hands on the keyboard，and tried to play the same song normally and another time emotionally．The result was that I felt totally different in my mind．Gradually I could find the chord“do mi so”could simply express the mood of happiness，and the chord“re fa la”could simply express the mood of sadness． Just，for example，I can sing“do mi so”，happy，and，“re fa la”，sad．

And now，I am a sixteen year old boy．The things I am considering all the time can not only be held by“do mi so”and“re fa la”．My eyes are open，my heart is open．I know how joyful the Chinese are for Beijing 's successful bid for the 2008 Olympic Games．I know how important it is to battle AIDS．I keep on working harder and harder and I also know how much we need an everlasting true peaceful world．My mother and my father asked me to watch News Express on CCTV everyday，and we saw the pictures of the African children．Do you know ？We are dreaming while they are in danger．We are enjoying music while their sound is surrounded by the warring cries of planes and tanks．We are celebrating while they are praying for living just one more day．How can I shut up my mouth and say nothing about it？No，I can't！I told myself you should open your mind to show what you care about and how much you care．Get to know this beautiful world by using your heart to feel everything and so I did．I organized our classmates to have performances about peace．We did everything we could from the poor areas-clothing，trousers，and stationery．We wanted to let them know that love is still around the world． As for myself，I wrote songs incessantly to show I cared．The song“A Beautiful World”was accepted by most of the people there，and the song“Surviving”was a success in the 7th annual conference of schools with foreign language specialty，and I'm sure that you remember I sang the song“Surviving”last night．There's a night．．．right？

But，why ？According to the composition I put myself in a situation of wars，and the miseries hurt me too．I can understand their fear of war．The truth must be told．Without question，I am actually a student，and I am not able to shake the world．But，I have my mind ，and I have my fingers．I still need to call out for peace through my song． It's small，but sincere，and I'll never stop．Thank you．

Q：Okay，I hear your speech．I know that you spend most of the time in school activities，right？How much is the influence of your family education on your personality formation．

A：Thank you very much．Originally I was a shy boy． I couldn't do anything．I was not able to choose activities or give performances in public．My parents encouraged me to do things unknown，and they wanted to let me know how to find myself according to the composition or other things and processes，so I was able to understand more and more things myself．So I became happy and I learned to like to communicate with other people．I use my music to express my feelings inside my heart．

Q：I think now it's the one-child generation．Are you the only child in your family ？

A：Yes．

Q：Do you think you are the emperor in your home？ You are the little emperor in your home？

A：Not at all．I never think that about myself．My parents also have very high requirements of me，especially in studying．

Q：Have you ever had any time when you were angry with your family education？Angry with your dad's approach teaching you to do this or teach you this or that？ Have you ever had an angry time with your dad ？

A：Yes I did．You know，I am sixteen years old．This is called“flower season”in China．We have some emotional problems．I will put it into my song．When I sing it out，my mother will listen and she will ask，“Oh？Have you got a girlfriend？”I don't like these kinds of questions． When that happens it will be a problem between my mother and me．
