March 11 2011, a day that should never be forgotten. Can you imagine the earth shaking and having the world around you crumbling down to the ground? Can you imagine having a giant tsunami crashing down on you and washing away everything you ever owned? Can you imagine sleepless nights filled with haunted memories, knowing that you would never be able to forget those images? Your family, your friends, your home, your life gone in a few minutes. That is the reality for thousands of people in Japan. You may just think that is just a number, but every one of those people had a dream, had a life, had a home. Now, all of that is taken away from them. 

 The river of tears, the broken dreams, the lost lives, the shattered futures may feel so far away for the rest of the world but, for the people of Japan its all around them. When something like this happens we, as people of the same world, have to stand up and help. Despite any political problems or any historical issues, we all have to be a big family or else what kind of a world would this be? Think of all the innocent people who lost everything. I’m not asking you to go volunteer in the nuclear plant, I’m not asking you to dig through the rubble, but I am asking you to do what you can to help. Just sending your hearts, your love, to make sure that they know that they are not alone in this world and people around the world do care about them.

 Japan we love you! Be strong and never give up hope. There is always a rainbow at the end of the storm. When you’re down, lift your chin high because you already made it this far. You have the world’s heart, because we all care.
