Hi everybody,

It’s the holiday season here in Seattle, lights and decorations are everywhere, it’s the time of  year where everyone is happy and relaxed. Chanukah (a Jewish holiday) ended last Friday and Christmas eve is on Thursday so holidays are all around. School is out for two weeks so everyone is on vacation. Relatives are in town and there is a smile on everyone’s face.

My mom and I were supposed to leave for China last Friday, we were packed, had tickets, a hotel booked, and a bunch of plans in China, but guess what? We forgot to check my visa and it expired December 1! So I am still in Seattle and we are leaving tomorrow, I hope nothing will go wrong this time.  I was quite disappointed because I miss China sooooo much!  However I got to bake 56 gingerbread cookies with my sister, celebrate my grandmothers birthday, paint 3 paintings, have an early Christmas, and spend time with my family. Don’t tell my parents, but I am kind of happy that I got to stay a little bit longer.

My grandma’s birthday was Friday, when my mom and I were supposed to leave, so to surprise her for her birthday I hid in a huge box and my dad brought it to her house and when she started to open it I came out of it and surprised her. It was so funny! I will post the video soon. I have to go to dance class now,
