石台牯牛降雨量充沛，溪流纵横，溪水常流不断，潺潺流水，从山顶淙淙而下，遇有石壁断崖，飞，在山间林里穿行，每遇石凼平地，则形成一个个大小不一的清潭，晶莹剔透，异彩纷呈，如同一块块翡翠，每至雨季，潭瀑相应，山色朦胧，如一幅幅墨染的山水图画。
