总体分析：本短文共有315个字、6个段落，文章关于美国与其它国家交换生，内容浅显易懂，贴合学生实际，但是本篇阅读看似简单，但学生真正操作起来，还是有一定难度的，因为每个题目都需要学生整体理解，而不是简单地摘取信息。

This year, about twenty-three hundred teenagers from all over the world will spend about ten months in US homes. They will attend US schools, meet US teenagers, and get a picture of the real America. At the same time, about thirteen hundred American teenagers will go to other countries to learn new languages and learn about the rest of the world.

Here’s a two-way student exchange in action. Fred, 19, spent last year in Germany with George’s family. In turn, George’s son Mike spent a year in Fred’s home in America.

Fred, a lively boy, knew little German at first. But after two months of studying, the language became easy for him. School was completely different from what he had expected and it was much harder. Students rose respectfully when the teacher went into the room. They took fourteen subjects instead of the six that were usually taken in the United States. There were almost no outside activities.

Family life, too, was different. The father’s word was the law, and all of the activities were done with the family rather than individually(单独地). Fred found the food to be too simple at first. Besides, he missed having a car.

“Back home, you pick up some friends in a car and go out to have a good time. In Germany, you walk, but you soon learn to like it.”

At the same time, in America, Mike, a friendly German boy, was forming his own ideas. “I suppose I should criticize American schools,” he says. “It is far too easy for our level. But I have to say that I like it a lot. In Germany, we do nothing but(除了) study. Here we take part in many other activities. I think that maybe American schools are better in training their students. 总体分析：本大题短文共有两段236字，内容是关于杜甫生平，短文理解难度不大，除了97题需要转换、98题需要组织语言外，其余都是直接获取信息。

Du Fu was a famous Chinese poet during the Tang Dynasty. He was born in Henan Province. His grandpa was a great poet, too. Du Fu spent a lot of time in reading and traveling before he was 35 years old. Along with Li Bai, he is often called the greatest of the Chinese poets. He cared about poor people’s life and often wrote poems about it, so he was deeply loved by the people. His life, like the whole country, was poor because of the Anshi Rebellion(叛乱) of 755, and the last 15 years of his life was a time of almost constant unrest(持续的动荡). He and his family wandered everywhere and he died of illness and poverty.

He began to learn poems at the age of 7. His works had been popular since he was 15 years old. It’s said that his works have a huge influence not only on both Chinese culture and Japanese culture, but also on Western cultures. When President of France visited China, he came to the place where Du Fu once lived. He said, “I love Chinese culture, especially interested in Du Fu and his works.”  He has been called the poet-historian. His works have already been translated into many languages and introduced to many foreign readers as “the Chinese Virgil, Horace, Ovid, Shakespeare, Milton, Burns, Wordsworth, Hugo or Baudelaire, etc.”
